Salem Glen Vineyard and Winery
Salem Glen Vineyard and Winery is a wonderful spot to relax and try a small-batch wine. It is a family-owned winery that started in 2006. The vineyard has several kinds of grapes such as Prairie Star, Sabrevois, and Aldmiina.
Salem Glen also makes their own ciders using apple trees on their property. During May-September, you can try pizza they cook from their wood-fire outdoors oven. Salem Glen Vineyard and Winery is a local favorite!
Apache Mall
Apache Mall is a great place to get some shopping done! It is the largest enclosed shopping mall in the city including Barnes & Noble, JCPenney, Macy’s, and Scheels. They have the most up-to-date styles and trends at every store to choose from.
If you’re hungry, HuHot Mongolian Grill, Applebee’s, Starbucks, and Red Lobster are all located inside the mall. The parking facility is convenient and well-lit. You should check the Apache Mall website ahead of time to see what sales are going on.
Soldiers Field Veterans Memorial
Soldiers Field Veterans Memorial honors veterans from southeast Minnesota. The memorial is free and open to visitors. The memorial consists of the Wall of Remembrance, the Walk of Remembrance, and the Trees of Remembrance.
The Wall is a granite circular wall honoring over 3,000 service members who died, the Walk is a path made from 6,000 pavers respecting both veterans and allies, and the Trees are 50 trees representing each state in the US. Soldiers Field Veterans Memorial is an important landmark in Rochester, MN.
